Over the fall and winter of 1995 and 1996 we have
installed a new treeline to treeline irrigation system which rivals
systems of private country clubs. We have also invested over
$100,000 in new equipment to enable us to give the course an excellent
cut everyday throughout the growing season.
Your understanding of our revitalization work is
again appreciated.
We have produced the following strategy tips for your
information and assistance. Please enjoy your round.
Hole #1
Accuracy pays dividends both off the tee and around the green.
Play right side of fairway for the best approach. Shoot for the
middle of the green-regardless of pin placement.
Hole #2
Less trouble up the right side with better approach to green. Play
second shot to set up best personal distance for you approach.
Birdie opportunity.
Hole #3
Accuracy is crucial to avoid a big score. Many play to arrive in
three to avoid trouble. Par is excellent.
Hole #4
Long but straightforward hole. Stay below the pin or short for
your best chance at par.
Hole #5
Best drive is 210-225 yards down the middle. Long or right gets
wet and short can be blocked by the trees. Green heavily sloped
from back to front.
Hole #6
Wind is often a bigger factor above the treeline than is apparent from
the tee. Avoid downhill or sidehill putts if you can.
Hole #7
Left side trees are closer than they appear. Green is hourglass
shaped, very narrow and highly sloped. Par is a good score.
Hole #8
Often downwind and reachable in two for longer hitters. Drive up
the right side for the best approach.
Hole #9
Long uphill finishing hole. Right to left shaped shot works very
well. Green slopes from back right to front left and approach
shots bounce left. Stay below the hole.
Hole #10
Relatively easy starting hole. Accuracy beats distance here most
every time.
Hole #11
Middle iron par 3 for many player. Wind can be a factor.
Green is further from the front bunker than it appears.
Hole #12
Relatively open par 4. Can be difficult to make par off the right,
left or back of green.
Hole #13
Very long par 5 that is at least a 3 shot hole for even the longest
hitters. Left side trees are closer than they appear from the tee.
Hole #14
Long hitter find this a driveable par 4. Back to front sloping
requires getting close to the pin for a good birdie opportunity.
Hole #15
Long and difficult par 3. Best to bounce the ball in with a right
to left shaped shot. Par is always a good score here.
Hole #16
Difficult 90 degree dogleg right that requires a 180 yard tee shot (from
the white markers) from left to right and/or cutting the corner.
Hole #17
Shorter hole that may be reachable in two for long hitters. You
can reduce the yardage by playing up the right side. Birdie
possibility.
Hole #18
Great uphill finishing hole worthy of its handicap rating. Right
to left tee shot pays dividends. Green slopes more than is
apparent. Bogie is not a bad score.
